The PhilHealth recently downloaded the first tranche amounting to a little over P114 million for Bataan’s Primary Health Care Provider Network. The province has been chosen as PhilHealth’s sandbox area.

Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia expressed gratitude to barangay officials, civil society organizations and other stakeholders for recognition of the province as Galing Pook 2023 Awardee for its “1Bataan Seal of Healthy Barangay.”

Former Board Member Godofredo Galicia, Jr., provincial consultant on health, said the provincial health office of Ifugao province visited Bataan recently to benchmark “on our health programs, plans and activities.” “They would want to replicate our Seal of Healthy Barangay, wala sila nun,” he said. A provincewide health care system will be established in Bataan soon.
